Gabon to Peru

God does not want the team in Gabon, but rather He is leading them to Peru.  Yes, Peru and they ARE leaving on Monday.

Because the visas for Gabon were not coming, the team has been looking for other places that would be ready for a team of 13 to come NOW.  AIDIA (pronounced like “idea”), a partner organizaion of Wycliffe Associates located in Abancay, Peru is looking forward to having our team come.  (No pre-issued visas are needed.)  The missionaries that they will be working with are Larry & Debbie Drake.  Larry and Debbie are site volunteer coordinators and Larry is also construction supervisor.

The project that is being worked on at AIDIA involves the translation center, which is used to translate the Bible from Spanish into the Quechua language.

Work will include:
Ceramic tile (bathroom floors & walls)
     Drop ceiling
Electrical work (pulling wire, installing light fixtures)
     General clean-up, floor scraping etc.

Amazingly so, the team is at peace with this change and they have been and are ready to GO!
