The Mission Team is using a Missions Journal, entitled "What's Your Story?". The journal began seven days prior to their departure, and includes a devotional for each day in addition to space for journaling their thoughts and impressions as well as their response to the daily devotional and prayer concerns. This journal/devotional guide is a great tool for preparing the missions team for the work they will be doing as well as preparing their hearts individually for what God has in store for them. The journal is also a great tool for recording their experiences and spiritual journey as the trip unfolds. The journal continues through their time in Peru and for seven days upon their return to the United States.
We would like to share some of these devotionals with you, so that those of us who are praying for the Mission Team can also be reflecting on the same passages of scripture and contemplating the same truths. The devotional for the first day in Peru was entitled “Being a Servant" , and the passage of scripture is Philippians 2:3-11.
